Are you specifically referring to the superscript “th” as American? Using ordinals in dates is very common in the UK, and as I understood it was far more common than in America.
And I also hope that poor Thurston is safely back home by now!
I didn’t know that. I feel like I always see “14 March” there (UK) and “March 14th” here (U.S.).
